Essential oils and their uses:
Essential oils (EO's) are made from highly concentrated, aromatic essences of plants. Many scientists are in agreement that essential oils may perform more than one function in living plants. The essential oils are normally produced by steam distillation (sometimes by cold pressing, CO2 extraction or solvent extraction.) The extractions contain the aromatic molecules of the plant.
Essential oils absorb into the fluid surrounding the cells beneath the skin's surface for a wide variety of effects including, deep cleansing, nourishing, and rejuvenation. Essential oils are also diffused to the air providing other benefits.
Essential oils can be used in a variety of ways from, massage, therapeutic bath, facial and skin oils, direct inhalation, mouthwash and foot baths. I can advise you on the best choice and course of oils for your needs, and help you implement them.
A wide variety of essential oils have been used medicinally through different periods of history. Medical applications proposed have ranged from skin treatments to remedies for cancer, muscle relaxation and repair and are often based on historical use of these essential oils. Such claims are now subject to regulation in most countries, and due to this have grown correspondingly more vague, to stay within these regulations. This however is not to state that essential oils do not work. As much as the regulations have been brought in to restrict what can be said about the benefits of aromatherapy and essential oil benefits, absolutely no proof has been produced to say that they do not work. Every day new people come to agree the obvious benefits.
Using well known combinations of essential oils many ailments can be treated, or life can just life can be helped along to a great sense of health and well being.
For a list of common essential oils and their known benefits (sorry I probably should of said, suggested benefits) please see the chart below.
